A high-tech firm that services North American utility companies with Smart Grid technology has an immediate need for a Java Developer for its office in Phoenix, AZ.
The position of Application Developer is responsible for the following.
- Develop new functionality and expand existing functionality within a Spring framework
- Collaborate with project coordinators, developers, and UI/UX designers
- Assist in the full lifecycle software development, from concept to design, development, and implementation
- Visit customers through North America to deliver technical presentations and training
Application Developer Requirements
- Spring Framework development experience
- 4+ years of experience in Java environments
- Experience with client-side development and extensive JavaScript knowledge
- Experience integrating applications with RESTful and SOAP web services
- An extensive user of smartphones (iOS, Blackberry, Android), 2-way SMS, social media (Facebook, Twitter), and a good understanding of the underlying technologies.
- Ability to translate PSD's or other static designs to code
- Ability to develop rapid prototypes of potential new products or features
- Accustomed to working in a team, extending existing code bases and using version control systems
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers
