          Department: Insurance Maintenance

          Description:

          This position has a broad scope of responsibility for accomplishing a technical or complex function. This position has responsibility for interpreting complex information and making subjective decisions.  You will identify issues that present risk to the firm and work with area leaders to mitigate them. The ideal candidate will possess and be able to apply problem solving, attention to detail, and collaborative resolution skills in a team environment. While demonstrating technical and regulatory expertise, you will also provide assistance to associates within the firm.

          Key Responsibilities:


          • Write macros in Visual Basic to support operational enhancements

          • Identify opportunities and solutions that will improve the current and future effectiveness of department processes

          • Create process improvement best practices for Insurance operations

          • Analyze, research and interpret complex items or information, and use this information to make subjective decisions

          • Summarize information in a report or statistical analysis and make recommendations to leaders in the department

          • Identify, mitigate and resolve issues that could present financial and regulatory risk to the firm

          • Verify and maintain accuracy of performance reporting through detailed research

          • Build and maintain relationships across division and department lines in order to achieve personal and team development opportunities

          Primary Qualifications:
          Position Requirements:


          • Advanced knowledge of Visual Basic required.

          • Series 7 required within 6 months of start date. Series 66 required within 12 months of start date.

          • Knowledge of complex systems and information required. 

          • Ability to apply industry, functional knowledge to enhance systems, processes and controls.

          • Must be able to communicate complex details effectively with senior leaders, branches, vendors and other external parties to get results.

          • Ability to access, interpret, and utilize information using internal and external resources.

          • Ability to effectively collaborate with other business areas on system requirements, process changes, etc. required.
