Microchip Technology Document Control Coordinator in Chandler, Arizona


This position reports to the Document Control Supervisor, located in Chandler, AZ and works closely with team on product/process requests coming typically from production planners, and supports the DMS function electronically worldwide. This position supports global day-to-day DMS activities which include CN analysis, data entry and item maintenance of part numbers and associated parameters in various databases, auditing, maintenance of logs, incorporating CN’s into specifications. A successful candidate will work independently with minimal supervision yet coordinate activities with co-workers.

Day-to-day tasks may include:

  • Data Entry and data processing of various electronic and printed data

  • Reviewing Change Notices for correct data and authorizations. Process CNs by modifying, posting, revising, and updating existing systems

  • Complete proofing and verifying accuracy of data entry

  • Edit various documents received. Maintain revision control

  • Review and ensure daily processing with changing priorities and expedite requests

  • Maintain various administrative systems such as Active Directory, profiles, approvers matrices, team numbers, etc

  • File documentation, electronically and hard copy

  • Ensure all written procedures and manuals used conform to corporate standards

  • Participate actively in team-based design, development and enhancement of new and current systems involving documentation structures, systems applications, and documentation evolution

  • Miscellaneous copying, filing, scanning, etc. associated with responsibilities

  • The selected candidate will work at the Chandler, AZ facility.

  • Other duties as assigned


  • Document Control Coordinator must be skilled in word processing and database software, as well as have outstanding communication skills and attention to detail.

  • They must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and working as part of a team.

  • The candidate must be skilled in overall data entry and document management applications, preferably in a semiconductor environment.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications is required.

  • Familiarity with electronic Change Notices (CN's), and Sharepoint is desired.​

  • Prior experience in data entry at varying and high production levels with the utmost accuracy.

  • Strong practical application and knowledge of electronic (& some manual) data management systems.

  • Awareness of relevant corporate and departmental procedures.

  • Ability to adapt to continuous changes from growth and continuous improvements.

  • Possess excellent SharePoint, MS Word, Excel, Outlook skills.

  • Excellent communications abilities, both written and oral.

  • Excellent organizational skills.


  • Familiarity with electronic Change Notices (CN's), and Sharepoint is desired.​

  • Previous Document Control experience in a similar position a plus.

  • Competency in the use of Power Point and Access a plus.

  • Exposure to ERP systems such as BaaN, SAP, or Oracle. BaaN experience preferred.

  • Exposure to document management systems.

  • Occasional overtime may be necessary.
