Allied Reliability Group Maintenance Manager in Pheonix, Arizona
Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading the maintenance department. Providing solutions in all aspects of the maintenance department including personnel, communication, equipment maintenance, organization, safety, purchasing and projects within the department. The maintenance supervisor should able to perform repairs on industrial and facilities equipment. The manager is responsible for the training of new and less experienced level technicians. The manager must have excellent communication skills and be capable of effectively interacting with all departments within the company to facilitate the continuous uptime of production equipment, the management of work orders issued by all departments, the continuous improvement and upgrading of existing equipment, the installation of new equipment and the upkeep of all facility equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide for developmental training (In house/outside).
Encourage performance through formal and informal performance reviews.
Providing positive influence inside and outside of department.
Consistently apply company policies.
Manage weekly time sheets accurately and consistently.
Conducting interviews and managing the decision making process for new personnel within the department.
Maintaining equipment in good working order.
Be able to perform maintenance on all equipment at the tech level III
Assuring that materials and directions are in place in order to execute equipment maintenance effectively.
Providing Scheduling with monthly preventative maintenance schedule so it can be incorporated into the Production Schedule
Maintaining shop and storage areas in a clean and organized manner.
Maintaining reference material in an organized and updated manner.
Completing all purchase order paperwork accurately and timely.
Ensuring all spare parts inventories are at effective levels, organized and available.
Maintaining equipment maintenance documents, mechanical work order requests, safety work order requests in an organized, easily accessible manner
Meeting all maintenance related OSHA safety regulations including required safety adherence, required inspections, and facility maintenance.
Following up on various maintenance tasks related to safety as a result of Safety Committee recommendations, inspections or employee suggestions.
Maintaining all equipment to OEM, OSHA or PAC established safety standards.
Taking initiative to bring unsafe conditions to the attention of the appropriate person or to resolve personally.
Purchasing of necessary parts and components to maintain plant and equipment in a safe and efficient manner to include parts required by various projects.
Working with vendors to reduce spending where possible and seeking other alternatives where appropriate to reduce costs.
Utilizing Visual purchasing system to enter orders.
Continually work towards reduction in maintenance purchase expenses relative to sales.
Managing the budget annual expenses.
Advanced mechanical experience in industrial environment
Advanced electrical experience in industrial environment
Able to operate forklift
Able to operate scissor lift
Education and/or Experience
Minimum of Associates in a technical discipline
Minimum 3 years of industry maintenance management experience
- English, oral and written communication skills (required)
Moderate mathematical skills with high school equivalence
Have understanding of decimals and fractions
Advanced reasoning skills
Have the ability to work through electrical and mechanical issues as they arise, able to complete repairs with no guidance. Have the ability to train others.

Ability to work in hot/humid or cold environments.
