Our Tucson office is currently seeking a Civil/Pipeline/ Process Engineer with a strong academic background seeking a challenging career with a growth-oriented company committed to providing the highest quality of services to its clients.
We are seeking candidates with civil design, geotechnical or geological engineering backgrounds to participate in the design and construction of mining and pipeline projects in the Southwest US and elsewhere. Knowledge of detailed earth science engineering fundamentals is mandatory.
Project work requires skills and training pertinent to civil infrastructure engineering design, Pipeline design, inside plant process and pipe design, layout management facility design and permitting, construction quality assurance/management, and surface water design and management. Travel within the United States will be necessary for some field assignments. The expected work will include office-based engineering design and field work. Appropriate on-the-job training will be provided.
This individual will be responsible for:
Performing civil and pipeline engineering calculations and analyses using hand and computer-based tools under senior direction.
Performing field investigations for civil and pipeline and process design projects under specific work instructions, including scheduling field work for specific scopes of work provided by senior colleagues, executing field assignments, and understanding health and safety issues associated with the work.
Assisting with the preparation of technical reports, including writing sections of reports, preparing figures and tables, and working with drafting and reproduction staff to produce final reports under senior direction.
Performing other engineering activities as directed.
Developing permit, design, and construction drawings using computer aided drafting platforms (e.g., AutoCAD).
BS in Civil Engineering, BS Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in process plant and pipeline design is required
MS Degree preferred.
5+ years of relevant work experience and proficiency in AutoCAD design and Civil 3D preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills combined with leadership ability
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, as dictated by project demands
Spanish and English speaking preferred
Pass a pre-employment physical including drug screening and a background check
